America's First Certified
Organic Restaurant

“As part of a national conference we invited executive directors from state workforce agencies to participate in an advisory council luncheon hosted by Monster.com. In all we had nineteen guest with eight additional persons from our company attending. At first I considered using a typical ballroom buffet at one of the local hotels, but I wanted this meeting to be special and I needed a particular atmosphere to achieve the objectives of the meeting. I ended up choosing Nora’s and with the assistance of Camilla and the terrific staff at the restaurant, the event was a resounding success. Not only was the room a perfect venue, but the staff was fantastic and the food was great. I received glowing comments afterwards from my guests and colleagues that continued for some time after the event was over. I would rate the experience in all regards a 10 out of 10 and I would highly recommend to you Nora’s restaurant.”

We feel so fortunate that we are able to book our dinner events at Restaurant Nora. We know it is rare to find an outstanding restaurant with private dining space where we can have uninterrupted discussion and enjoy fresh, organic menu offerings. We have tried to find a similar venue in other cities that compares to Restaurant Nora, but none have been able to match the unique ambiance, delicious food, and exemplary service.

There were nothing but accolades about the dinner from the minute I walked in the door the next morning and throughout the day … Everyone had a wonderful time, the food was fabulous and one attendee even commented he had been on a diet and instead of ordering dessert, your staff offered instead to slice up some fruit which he said was wonderful …

The evening received ten stars … and I would recommend Restaurant Nora to anyone who asks.

From the first moment we stopped in at Restaurant Nora to inquire about having our wedding dinner and ceremony at our favorite DC restaurant, we were impressed by the can-do positive attitude shown by Camilla Rothwell and her colleagues.

Few, if any, requests, no matter how short notice, were met with any kind of resistance or hesitation from Camilla and her team. Could they accommodate the ceremony in addition to the dinner? Yes! Would they be able to arrange the sound system? No problem. Could we mix-and-match the items from Nora’s summer menus into a custom-made menu of our own? Absolutely! Since we didn’t get organized enough to order the flowers, would they handle it? Of course!

Then on the day itself, even though it sounds like a cliché, the restaurant managers and wait staff made us feel like king and king for the day. More importantly, they did the very same for all of our guests—from the youngest (who were served kid-friendly pasta dishes cooked at short notice) to those with very particular dietary restrictions. The staff were attentive, yet unobtrusive, and made every one of our guests feel welcome and special while elevating table service to an art form. They successfully struck a delicate balance… the atmosphere was intimate, friendly, and relaxed, yet incredibly elegant. This was exactly what we were looking for.

Our guests still talk about how being at Restaurant Nora was a key element in making our wedding day even more special than they imagined it would be. We will be grateful to Camilla and everyone at Restaurant Nora for that special experience forever.
